Even before Little Green Bag has finished, we start to hear agonised gasps and whimpers, and the next thing we see is a terrified Mr Orange (Tim Roth) bleeding all over the back seat of a car driven by his panicky colleague, Mr White (Harvey Keitel).
RESERVOIR DOGS EAR SCENE CODE
With an iconic sequence that has inspired the dress code of a million stag nights, Tarantino persuades us that we’re about to see a heist being pulled off to perfection by the coolest dudes since the Rat Pack starred in Ocean’s Eleven.īut it’s all a trick. After seven minutes of this repartee, we see the criminals strolling in slow-motion through the Los Angeles sunshine, while The George Baker Selection’s finger-clicking Little Green Bag sets the mood. First, we see a group of sharp-suited career criminals sitting around a diner table and chatting about everything except the diamond robbery they’re planning to commit: an old address book the etiquette of tipping the meaning of Madonna’s Like a Virgin. (That is, if they're under 14.) Older teenagers will really, really like this film. The film’s high-mindedness is apparent in its opening scenes. But if your kid wants to watch it.don't let them. Other than that, there are lots of bloody shootouts, but need I remind you that this is typical Tarantino? Overall, Reservoir Dogs is an excellent film. The most disturbing scene involves the torture of a police officer. Also, Reservoir Dogs has extreme amounts of blood. As typical Tarantino goes, there are about 8 f-bombs in that scene.and it's only about a minute long! In total there are 252 f-bombs in 99 minutes, making this film have as many f-bombs as The Big Lebowski and Pulp Fiction (also by Tarantino). The first lines of the film are a very crude (and hilarious) discussion about what the Madonna song "Like A Virgin" is about. Common Sense was wrong - there actually is some sexual content.
RESERVOIR DOGS EAR SCENE MOVIE
This is very typical Tarantino, so kids under 13 should NEVER see this movie until they reach that age. It's a very good movie, but if your child wants to watch it, I would have to say, you have to know your child and that it isn't positive in any way what-so-ever.Ī bank heist goes extremely wrong in Quentin Tarantino's amazing debut. The language is very strong with about every form of the F word and just about every other word in the dictionary.Ĭharacters do smoke regularly, but in one scene, a character smuggles drugs past police. The language and sex coincide with each other because in the beginning of the movie, every other sentence was filled with sexual dialogue. But in this movie, there are many violent shoot-outs, a very violent torture scene in which a man has his ear sliced off with a razor, and a couple of car crashes. The movie is incredibly violent, like all of Tarantino's movies, but there's just something about it that you like and that you would want to see it. Starring Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth (also starred in Quentin's PULP FICTION with Harvey Keitel), Michael Madsen, Chris Penn, Lawrence Tierney, and Quentin Tarantino himself. RESERVOIR DOGS is a raw and never-before-seen take on a failed robbery so that makes for an interesting well-thought-out story. While this is Quentin Tarantino's first film, it definitely gives us an idea of what the rest of his movies will look like. Keeping Kids Motivated for Online Learning.
